i keep hearing that but honestly other than mine alot of the cars in our family are gm vehicles (a range rover 335 750 and my 8 are the only ones that arent) and no major issues (knock on wood) so far of course most are relatively new but our 07 escalade already has almost 100k on the clock as dad uses that to travel for business (he drives everywhere) and i can tell you gm is come a long way since the shitty 05 impalas and malibus (we have an 05 impala too nuthin but issues with that one) so yeah i guess to each his own but im loving the power in the camaro and it gets endless looks from everyone because its new and different i guess.

From what I hear the G8 has a MUCH better steering feel than the camaro, most people were shocked when GM didn't adapt the same steering.

Uh no, try the GXP and even that has slightly less HP and a few hundred lbs more weight.

I was hoping GM would rebadge (i know, that got them in trouble to begin with) the G8 to a Chevy. Oh well, RIP G8... we hardly knew ye.

As far as handling goes, I think you guys would be surprised about how refined the Camaro is... and that's coming from an RX8 owner. It would give the RX8 fits around Nurburgring at low to mid 8s.

Though thats your opinion, that doesn't answer why they didn't choose a more comfortable steering feel when it was already engineering and praised.

That's pretty funny, considering all my prior vehicles were Chevy and they lasted longer than others I've seen. Engines go far past 100k without a single issue ever occurring. Only issues involved were with typical maintenance and wear/tear parts as it should on any vehicle. Statistic wise from every one I've know, they've had issues more with their imports or Fords than a Chevy. I consider Chevy engines (or rather, GM) to be amongst the best in terms of being robust based on my experience.

They called it off. G8 is officially dead per Bob Lutz.
