I think it's one of the few crossover/sport-suv's that actually looks good and has decent proportions for a tall car. Makes stuff like the Nissan Mirano look like a pile of ****.

I like it, looks better in person IMHO. They unveiled it at my local dealership last month. Might get one for the wife when her lease is up.

Now that I see the profile directly, looks nothing like the Kabura.

If they made it more low-slung and made it a 2-door fast back (ala 240sx) I'd hit it.

I think it looks pretty cool. I only wish it came with a 6-speed manual.

Damnit, I'm sorry I started this thread. I really thought 1 out of 10 people would actually think this vehicle looks anything better than ugly.

Now, I'm confused. It is disturbing to my sense of well being to see so many people not only expressing that they like the X6's looks, but love it. Have I lost my mind?

I think the new Alfa Romeo is drop dead, salivatious, incredibly sexy, FWIW.

Have I lost it?

ok, so it's a little big, i mean it is "part SUV". other than it being a little big like it is supposed to be it looks really good. This thread is stupid. You might as well say WTF is Mazda thinking? and post pictures of the CX-7, complaining that it doesn't look as good as an rx-8....

Please.

The CX-7 isn't some ginormous, bloated beast, with appendages hanging off every direction, chubby in the middle, and bloated and heavy.

The CX-9 is a perfect example of how Mazda stayed true to its sporting heritage - the lines are clean, the weight is light, and it was Motor Trend SUV of the year because of its handling and performance.

BMW is not keeping with its heritage by building such a bloated pig. I'd expect this from Volvo, or Ford, or even Mercedes - not BMW.

I mean that's cool and all, but when I want to take my kids to soccer practice and say "my husband's loaded" I'm not sure how much heritage is going to affect my purchasing decision.

huh, so you're a girl? figured no guy would put the word "floppin" as their online handle.

the x6 is ugly. i think the fx35/45 is much better looking. and i think the x5s are awesome looking, especially the latest gen. same with the x3s. however, that said, bmws styling has gone down the drain lately. the e46 was their ultimate design success. im glad they fixed the rear lights with the e92, the previous were horrible.

BMW has many answers to questions no one asked. self adjusting clutch? wtf. XD if anything, this is a really bad move on BMWs part. SUVs/light trucks are getting harder to sell with the gas problems.

i hope the next president is better about this. im not gonna say anything but i'll point out 2 facts i heard a comedian say.

mr. bush is an oil man.
oil prices have gone way up during his presidency.

This thing is hideous. The truncated back-end reminds me of the pontiac aztek. It's like this thing can't decide what it wants to be: coupe or SUV. The FX looks like a SUV with a sporty character. This looks like a ridiculously slow and bloated coupe. It took characteristics from the SUV and coupe and mixed them together in the most horrible way. It's like the car version of a transexual.

So they give us this thing (which is a raised hatchback) but won't give us the 1 series hatchback? (Presumably because we hate hatchbacks here)
