BMW 5/7 series cost big bucks to repair
i wonder how much these guys pay for insurance... my buddy's bro has a 535.

technically, only a certified BMW body technician should be working on these cars. without the proper glue technique, you're asking for trouble. the plastic fenders on the 6 series is made to expand from heat. no bolts are supposed to be reused. there is a lot of stuff involved with the newer cars BMW is putting out. IMO, i think they're just trying to weed out all of the independent shops so that BMW owners HAVE to, without a choice, take it to a BMW dealership or what not. more business for guys like me...sorry lol

My BMW dealer doesn't do body repair work.
If I wasn't turned off already by new 5 series' styling, this is yet another reason not to buy the new Bangleized BMWs.

I read about this the other day, it was quite interesting how the BMW's are made. It just means the private autobody industry will have to step up their games.
And, they'll be some great engines sitting in the scrap yards :D
