Love UK super cars
The Lotus bonanza continues as the company has unveiled the £110,00 Esprit revival.
Set to go on sale in 2013, the car features an aggressive front bumper, LED daytime driving lights, and a center-mounted dual exhaust system. Inside, the cabin has a minimalist design with a sport steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, and carbon fiber trim.
Power is provided by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine with 550 PS (405 kW / 543 hp). It is connected to a seven-speed paddle-shift transmission, which should enable the 1495 kg (3,296lb) car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in under 3.5 seconds. Of course, if that doesn't sound fast enough, Lotus will happily sell you an Esprit R with 620 PS (456 kW / 612 hp).

Lotus unveiled a total of 5 cars (ok, fine, technically we'd seen the Elite before) in Paris today, kinda nuts! Here're the other 4:
2015 Elise:
2014 Lotus Elan
Lotus Eterne
Lotus Elite
Personally, I'm a big fan of the Elan. Still, 4 of the 5 cars will be over $100k

I'm not a big fan of that Elan...just doesn't look as Lotus 'race inspired', and I don't think they should make a four door.

I really like the look of all of these cars. I just realized that the elite is actually a hardtop convertible. Didn't know that until I saw their commercial that unveiled the car. To me the front ends look like an angry catfish ready to eat its prey. I would take the Elise, Elan or the Esprit. They all have a V8 under the trunk lid, though the Esprit looks to be twin turbo charged, same engine sounds to be in the Eterne since they both make 620ish HP. The Elise still has a 4 cylinder, it seems. But is suppose to make a lot of power.
To me these cars have the looks and have always had the power to back them up. Can't say that for some other car companies.

Man what a disappointment. The Esprit was my favorite car as a kid and I've been greatly anticipating its replacement. I don't see any of the old Esprit in this new car, its a British Lambo, ughh...and all the new cars look almost exactly the same. How about some design creativity huh?
So much for Lotus's being drivers' cars, it looks like they're deffinitely going full force with the move in to the main stream market of cars for rich guy show-offs. Colin Chapman is rolling over in his grave as we speak. I hope they fail miserably for doing this to one of my favorite car brands.
This will always be one of the most beautiful cars ever made in my opinion:
