Autoweek Reports Folding Miata Hardtop Model Coming

No pics as of yet. Will be interesting to see how this works out. I want a true hardtop Miata coupe, I don't like covertibles. Maybe this RX/MX-3 will be the answer to that wish.

One folding hard top.....+100 lbs. The last 3 generations of Corvette are getting lighter and the Miata is progressively getting heavier. My calculus shows by the next generation of both the Vette will be the lighter of the two. By then the Miata will probably have 28" wheels too. Damnit I want my old Miata back!

Forget the extra weight. I'd only buy one if it had a folding H.T. (or was a fixed-roof coupe). I had a '97 Miata for nearly three years. While I loved the car, the soft top was just a bit too much trouble... Didn't seal very well, expensive to repair/replace, and of course the ever-present threat of having some idiot slash your top.
