I never understood Aston's.... theres always a better counterpart for a substantially cheaper price.
Nice looking cars though... I just dont think the look is worth the premium

I think that that is the best aston yet though. Too bad its only for the movie. I would gladly take an aston with a v12 and a real manual tranny. This one looks like a mix between the racing DBR9 and the DB9. I like the result.

Very few companies will trim an interior in any color or material you can think of, use wood from any tree grown on the planet (your choice), and paint the car any color you can imagine. Aston is not about just building cars......they are about building your dream car. Can you get equal performance for less? Sure. Can you get a completely personalized vehicle, custom built to your tastes for less money? No way!

Nice cars as they are I think Astons are total rip offs that rely somewhat on the "Bond" appeal.... but thats just my opinion.

When you upload the picture, copy the hotlink bar into the reply box on rx8club. Should come up as a picture.

There are many specialty shops that do custom work on high end cars...porsche has quite an expansive colour selection and will do a custom colour interior and or exterior for you; unfortunately most people dont even know about this.....Lotus has a crap load of colours too... of course you'll have to pay but not THAT much.

A V8 Vantage (a direct competitor to the 911) is anywhere from 60-70Gs over a 911.... not quite the same price range.
But hey, if having a car to match any colour or tree motif to suit a super excentric nature is worth that kind of a premium then I guess it goes back to "to each his own".. .either that or you'd have to get your head examined

I'd take 2 Porsches over an Aston any day of the week and twice on Sunday......but I am not their target market. The people that buy Aston Martins don't give a **** about an extra $70 grand......it's about the badge and history. It's undeniable that Harley Davidson makes inferior bikes to just about every other bike manufacturer......but people pay a premium for the badge and the history.

A 911 Carrera S (the competitor to the V8 Vantage) is base $119,00 CDN MSRP
A V8 Vantage is $135,000 CDN MSRP
How did you get a $70K difference out of that?

BTW, I am obsessed with Aston's.. best looking cars on the planet IMO... I don't care how much they cost.. if I had the money (i.e. Lottery) is buy one the same day.
