picking up a zx tomorrow the only thing it needs is timing adjust cause the guy who owned it put it new cams ...if anyone knows how or where to find the info please let me know thanks.

 

i have no idea what youre talking about, if you are talking about resetting the ECU just disconnect and connect it again... you need to find a 300ZX forum where they can help you better. btw is it a twin turbo?

check www.twinturbo.net. They have an awesome DY section. Oh, and read the FAQ and use search before you post the question or you'll get roasted.

If memory serves, the computer controls a bunch of stuff including timing, but you can set the base timing manually.

 

aren't those run by chain?
