just got back from the dealership with my new to me r3 and had a engine light this morning. Had it checked and it turns out to be a air motor on the intake that is going bad to the tune of $2000.00, that is not to mention the window motor/ regulator that went bad monday. I am having a bad mazda day, is it really that hard to change this air motor. I am being told 2 days withthe engine coming out to get to it. Someone please help, I am already looking at 2500 bucks and haven't had my r3 for 2 weeks. It is an 09 with 46k on it.

I thought the tech said air motor but may have said pump. I was told that the intake would have to come off and that the lower of the intake may need cleaning.

 

if its an air pump it might be covered under emissions warranty, idk. pm ash to see if its the same as the s1
