Air tank pressure rating?
Hey y'all:
I have some 3 & 1-gallon aluminum medical oxygen tanks that I'd like to use in conjunction with an on-board air compressor setup in my Silly Olde Jeep. A sticker on the side says to refer to the pressure rating stamped into the tank's shoulder, but I see nothing up there that looks like units of pressure. Here's what's on one:
DOT-3AL 2015 K43406 CLIFFDIV O6@00 TC-3ALM139 2 (circle around that last 2).
Anyone know what I should be looking for?
Thanks.

If they are cylinders commonly used in hospitals for O2. Then they are filled to 2000 psi. They oxygen tanks I'm familiar with are long and thin and all are 2000 psi regardless of size.

Thanks for the prompt reply. WOW, if these things are rated to 2,000 psi (might correlate with that 2015 figure noted above), that's at least 10 times what I need!
These are small portable O2 tanks of the sort you might see strapped to a wheelchair. The largest is about 4-1/4" in diameter x 24" tall, and the smallest is 3-1/4" x 11".
Thanks again.

no problem.
If you only need 200 psi. Your all set. O2 tanks can hold a ton more than that.
Also remember that the valve stem is keyed. O2 tanks have a special regulator that stops the possiblily of attaching the wrong gas to a O2 regulator.
