That thing makes the 8 look like a family sedan. Your friend is a lucky man.

My thoughts exactly . The 8 really needs the MS nose on it to even come close from the front but it looks almost as good from the rear corner .

The Z06 is impressive, but in yellow--yuck in general. It sure makes the RX-8 look small and tiny. One of the best bang for the buck buys out there.

Our interior kicks butt in styling, design and materials though!

Not anymore really. You could say that about the C5 but the C6 is MUCH MUCH better.

Much much better for GM is relative. When you start with crap, of course it's going to be better.

For a car that starts at MSRP $64,890, the interior should and needs to be better.

I'm also not too fond of the body colored headlight bays. The car would look better with the more traditional chrome or brushed steel/aluminum.

It's still a muscle car sort of beast so it's not going to look like a Ferrari inside. It probably needs to be comprable to a Viper in order to sell for that price and that's about it.

I agree with you about the body colored headlight bays. Definately not a fan.

From all the executive and PR speak going on at GM, they definitely aspire to be more than the bare minimum. I think that speaks for interiors as well.

However, they seem to mess things up. For example, the new Saturn Aura seemed to make it mechanically and exterior-wise intact as a modified Opel, but GM USA completely crapped the interior and changed it for the worse.

I can't believe anyone could complain about what they get in this car for 65K.

I didn't say it was a deal breaker. I think it's a great deal. I said that earlier. I am saying that, like nearly all cars, there can be improvements made to make even better.

I'm sure they had budget constraints and the interior got the short end.

Sure, that was my impression as well. The interior got the short end of the stick but is still decent.

yellow is a sports car color dating way back to probably before you were born, why get an exciting car in a boring *** color? If you're going to own a sports car, it should be a sports car color, period. I'd take a yellow z06/porsche/rx8/350z/FD/etc. over any other color any day of the week.

Good for you. Get whatever makes you happy, but I just think it looks gross. Black and Red make the car look mean and badass like the car is. I just hate the color yellow in general I suppose.

nice pics!
btw I was wondering if there is a hood vent for the rx8 similar to the one for the vette where its on the bottom rather than the top?
I personally like the hood vents that are closer to the bottom, than up top like the ones I have seen thus far for the rx8

Going to need a 3 rotor to run with that thing.

How can you hate a yellow that looks this crisp?

had the chance to drive one of these.. (my father owns a black w/ black/red leather)

the z06 is about as close to a race car as you can get.. made me depressed to sit back in my greddy turbo'd 8. i felt like i was driving a honda fit.

The Fit is a great car. Now if you said Aveo--that'd be truly sad.

It looks like a bottle of mustard. Listen, if you like then great, but I was just saying I would never even think about owning a yellow car. Just my preference in cars.
