Doesn't look a whole lot different than the current one.

Oh, and it looks like an RX-8.

Just read the article. Here's a quote that's a lot more intersting than these pics:

Rumours in Japan say the new name will be 400 Z but we will have to wait and see for that.

That means a 4.0 L engine.

Wow that roof line is really effed up...convertible?

Holy FFING crap what if it's 2+2. I wouldn't be surprised, they did it with the Z32.

Looks like a shorter overall length than the sheet metal was designed for. If you look closely at the roof, you can kind of see a seam where it looks like a section of it was chopped out and the two other parts reattached. This is probably just a mechanical test mule, with the current Z body thrown on just to have some sort of sheet metal over the important parts. Remember the cobbled together "Miata" seen circling a track a while back? This is probably the same sort of thing.

Edit:

The more I look at it, the more it looks like the car is actually about the same length, maybe even a little longer. The roof definitely looks shorter to me, though. Maybe the actual car underneath it all is shorter, thus necessitating a shorter roof, while the bodywork on it is about the same as a current 350z?

What?! The 400 correlates to the engine size? We should have that the same convention... call it the Rx-130 or something..

That's how Nissan/Infiniti has done it with the 350Z and G35 (3.5L engines). With the new 3.7L engine the new Infiniti is going to be called the G37. So, it would follow that the 400Z would be a 4.0L engine.
