Ummmm ok, a modded RSX beat a stock Z, what's the big deal?

 

How do you guys think the RX8 would have done against this RSX? Not trying to start anything, just wondering what you're thoughts were.

Yea, 13.9 for a FWD RSX is incredible. Those are s2k kind of numbers. The Z had a decent effort at 14.27

Funny thing is, the difference between the 2 cars is .3 seconds. Now more than double how badly the Z got "violated" and there you have what the average stock for stock race between a Z and an RX-8 would be. In fact a stock RSX is closer in straightline performance to the RX-8 than the Z is.

I think he was refering to the point where the RSX pulls 2 full cars ahead, not the final race time.

 

If it beat the 350, I am pretty sure it woulda beat a 8 :D

 

Drag racing are for fast cars. Road racing are for fast drivers.

The more money you spend on your car the faster it will be on the drag strip.

 

Those Hondata really make RSX go a lot faster!

LOL I didn't even get this from the 350 forums, I got it from clubrsx. I know I love the 350Z forum! You guys are great! its this forum I have learned to hate. Kind of ironic.

Haha...this is starting to get entertaining. Although I agree to some extent, for the most part, this forum is pretty nice. THey're just a little bit touchier when people say things about their car. Probably because so many people say mean things that they're just tired of it. I'll admit i've said a harsh word or two, but not nearly as many as they've said back.

 

the only reason I like the 350Z forum so much is because the owner are so full of themselves, like they drive Gods Personal Charriot or something. The only Japanese car owners that have reason to be cocky are FD owners, haha.

The problem with this forum is most of the people here never had a rotary before and dont understand it. Its hard to say a "mean" thing about the 8 once you have driven it.

 

Don't worry! no offense. But I always thought the RSX was a premium FWD......maybe I was wrong, and the dude that was tryin' to sell me one, was exagerating.

 

RSX is a nice car, no doubt.

 

13.9 sounds like Hondata and aem cai and decent driver. Not many dollars there.

The RSX is not an econobox. Hell i guess it is if you paid 35k out the door like me. But we are an econobox to some other cars too id suppose.

RSX will have a huge weight advantage on the Z as will we and every bit helps tons.

I think the Z is a great car and it does get bashed prolly because right "now" its at the top of the heap power wise besides the turbo boxes. We will get the same heat after our R&D is complete and people find how to make very applicable power.

I may not like many aspects of the Z but i sure do respect it.
