Mostly cosmetic damage so they should be able to get it restored

Wtf man. A timed hill climb is a serious competition event with hazards even pro race drivers don't often see like boulders, cliffs, trees inches from the racing surface. The best drivers in the world crash. Pretty bold of you to call **them** morons.

The Furai caught on fire with the Mazda factory works driver behind the wheel

BBC - Autos - Top Gear exclusive: How the Mazda Furai died

Race cars live and die for crashes, fires, etc. When the day comes that you can drop millions of dollars on a race car it will be your choice to use it as intended or make it some useless museum trophy.

No damages for #55 787b...but a VIP driver, his words (not literal , just my translation):

"When they asked to me what car i would like to drive at Goodwood, i've choose the Mazda 787 immediately, a myth ,and my favorite car in Playstation's GranTurismo sessions"

One begins to wonder...

Now lets hear it from more defending Playstation experts...

Will they restore 202?,without seeing inside, frame, etc.?

I live 15 min. from the AACA museum in Hershey, PA. My friend volunteers there. Makes me sad every time I stop there. Although I understand why the brass era cars reside there.

From all the Goodwood videos i have seen over the years, it appears the track is very narrow in many places with absolutely no runoff areas at times. You drop a wheel onto the grass at speed, and you can be straight into the hay bales. Could have been cold tires, oil or moisture or rubber on the track, or driver error. Glad it was not the #55 and no one was hurt.
