That design has already been abandoned, and is one of the reasons the release was moved from 2005 to 2006, and now to 2007. Nissan claims they just haven't found the right design yet, and they won't release the car til they are satisfied

Just shorten the wheelbase of the G35C, throw in the Attesa and Turbo/Hybrid and call it a day. Personally I think the issue is with the powertran, not exterior design. Nissan probably got alittle scared with the recent horse power war, and Lexus announcement of hybrid performance technology.

Those pics are 2 solid years old. The reason its taking so long is B/C Nissan did not plan a R35 as they were broke when it was time for a new model, and niche cars are the first to go.
With NIssan's turnaround, they have the $$$ for it now. And the new GT-R will be sold worldwide.

The negative for me is that I know what Nissan is all about and anticipate some very serious engineering or R&D oversight to plague the car. With Nissan, you can almost bet your life on it.

Oh, and Lex's presence just brought something to mind. Has anyone else noticed a steep decrease lately in the number of new IS300's on the road? I think this is due to the recent flood of cool new sports cars into the market.

I love the Skyline from the 90's and really hope they keep the look very similar, especially the round tail lights and muscular fenders.
that prototype looks like my remote control had a child with my electric razor.

until Nissan is throughly satisfied with the development and design of the next GT-R, i guess the US market will have to wait a few more years for a taste of one of Japan's iconic sports car!!! And with the next NSX coming in 2-3 yrs frm now it wud be a hell of a battle for the ever demanding sport import car market,
who knows what the next generation RX-8 wud be at dat time????
