i kinda like it, its not quite the elegance of the E36 but it certainly has some styling and its definitely a BMW. i think i also saw something saying 50:50 in there and if thats weight distribution, should be one of the best handling bimmers out there. I cant wait to try it out.

It's very nice. Not quite a pretty as the current model, but nice nontheless. Looks like they're going ahead with this i-Drive stuff. :-p

it's not bad, may be a tad too *edgy* for BMW buyer taste

but then again, this is an RX-8 forum, where the car looks like an angry guppy, so i guess it's fine

They could make the taillights better and that interior is too much for a 3 Series.

To bad that rear three quarters shot makes it look too much like a Jaguar!

Bleh. These new Bimmers get more and more bloated-looking. I like the front end okay, but everything from the b-pillar back screams "dime-a-dozen luxury car" . . . very lame, IMHO.

Peace

That crease on the sides looks absolutely awful. I'm none too impressed with the interior either, it's so bland. The inside and outside don't even look like they belong to the same car.

WOW, I like it. I think it looks better than the current 3.

The interior looks really nice too, I love I Drive, even though its probably simplified.

they say 0-60 in 6.3 for 330i. not too bad 0.5 seconds faster than current.

Oh and that engine start button is pretty sweet.

That has got to be the most boring, bland, analog interior I have ever seen. If bimmer is trying to market the 3 to the 20-30 year olds they are gonna fail miserably. The 40-60 yerar old analog generations will love it for sure, but I'm sure the ones with REAL money will opt for a 5 or 7.

I forsee bimmer losing its prestige and status really soon......... our digital generation are laughing at these cars going, "40k for that piece?" I'm sure my parents will like it tho...

I like the new interiors. There is a good continuity between the different models now. And, did I mention I love IDrive

OMG that is FUGLY.

IMO the E36 was the pinacle of the 3 series.

the current 3 series is nice looking but, but not classic like the 36 imo.
Plus they keep getting heavier and heavier..

It's 1525 KG or 3362 lbs for the 330i. It's just slightly heavier than the E46 which was 3285 for a manual or 3362 for the auto. At least they are keeping weight in check, even with it growing in every dimension. It's good to see when MBs and Audis seem to get 200-300 pounds heavier every generation. Didn't the 5-series actually get lighter this generation?

As for the styling, I think it's the best of the new generation cars. I remember many people hating the e46 when it came out, and now everyone loves it. I think I will grow to like it, and it will eventually make the e46 look dated as the e46 did to the e36. Even the e36 still looks good, but it doesn't look modern. I don't like the new 5-ish dash though. I think I prefer the interior of the e46.
