Thumbs up 2005 Acura TL W/Navigation

Wife and I just picked up a Brand New 2005 Acura TL W/Navigation! We picked out the Anthracite Metallic with Ebony Leather. I must say Acura did a fabulous job on this car. The quality of the car is great and the list of features are too long to tell all. But here are a few that I love!

1). The Voice Navigation(You can just tell it to do anything. Turn the Radio, CD's, Track Numbers, Volume Up/Down, Directions, Gas Stations, Hotels, Time/Temp, A/C For Passenger Temp/Drivers Temp) Another thing I thought was great about the Navi was when you pick the restaurant to go to, it gives you the correct address and the freakin number to call if you want to make reservations. The soo much you can do with the Navi!

2). When you put the car in reverse the Passenger side mirror tilts down to so you can see a bit better and then it just moves back up when you put it in park or Drive.

3). The seat memory which allows my wife and I to just press the button and it moves to the position that each of us like to drive in.

I'll take pictures this weekend to share! I am just as happy with the Acura TL as I am with my Beautiful 8. And that's hard to do! :D

agreed. My father in law was looking at one a couple years ago and asked me to test drive it. The exterior and interior is beautiful, but I just could not stand the feel of the steering and the FWD. It felt like an accord.

Nice choice of car, and color combo too! Did you get the auto or the 6sp manual w/LSD?

Kinda like Knight Rider! Just talk to the car.

2). When you put the car in reverse the Passenger side mirror tilts down to so you can see a bit better and then it just moves back up when you put it in park or Drive.
They did that on the '03 CL, and it's so simple and helpful, that I'm now in the habit of tilting the side mirror down on my other cars whenever I back up.

3). The seat memory which allows my wife and I to just press the button and it moves to the position that each of us like to drive in.

TLs are just pimp loaded for the price. Enjoy, looking forward to the pics.

My brother has the same car (colors, but 6MT, not auto). Comfortable as all get out. You can also search the Nav by phone number to IIRC. Have you tried out the DVD audio yet?

I was REALLY close to getting the TL over my 8, but with the help of this forum and a friends aunt who owns a Mazda dealership, the 8 was too good to pass up. Now that I have my 8, I dont think I would trade it for a TL. At 24 years old, I am not in the sedan driving mode (unless it was an BMW M5)...
I know its sweet. My wife has the BlackBerry, so it should work!

No he was telling us a little about it. What exactly is it? He said that one of Acura's ways of moving forward, towards more high tech.

The CD player in the TL can also read specific DVD audio disks. They can hold a lot more information. It's kind of like surround sound, with horns coming out of the front, cymbals coming from the back, and different sounds coming out of different speakers. It's kind of like sound in 3D. Sony has something similar with SACD (super audio CD - real creative )
You should've gotten a demo CD with the car - check it out.

I think it did come with one. Does our TL play DVD's?
