Doesn't it already have 270hp? 16 more and they call it an S? I call that just an upgrade. The difference between the older base and S models were much greater.

As others have posted, the Type S is just going to torque steer more than the base version. It needs to have RWD or AWD (heavier of course).

the original 270hp was overated, the new adjusted SAE NET rating for the regular TL is 258hp, the new hp rating is also SAE adjusted, so its quite a bit more power

Actually I'm not sure if I specifically related weight to handling. I may have alluded to it, and if so, I am wrong.

If you ever have a chance to drive an Integra Type R, seriously check it out. You'll have a new appreciation for the potential of FWD, done right. Most FWD cars don't reach that potential, but the ITR did. With the LSD and decent tires (like the RE010s it came with), you could throttle-steer it, and the overall handling was very neutral. Still a little torque steer though. If you're not accustomed to it I can see how it would be a showstopper for you.

My CL-S was another good example of the potential of FWD/LSD. Obviously it didn't handle like the R, but it didn't understeer like you'd expect from a 3500 lb FWD car. Torque steer was manageable for me, but scared my wife, who is more accustomed to RWD cars.

Sad little patch job, and sad attempt at keeping up with the real sports sedans in the class. It'll sell, since like toyota, honda enjoys success thanks to the mindless, passionless lemmings that buy them, but anybody that knows anything about cars would walk right past this (and that is thing) to the 3 or the new g.

Yeah ok. Only on an internet forum where one does not bow down in supreme **** worship to the snoozes offered from the jap 'big 3' does one get called that.

Rest assured, if I were what you say, I'd just tell you and several others here to just go **** yourself and die painfully. But since Im not, I'll instead tell you to just kill yourself quickly.

If you say so, little girl. Its cute that you seem to think I care though.

So anyway, like I was saying, the tl is just a sad breathed-on accord with no street cred and the backing of non-enthusiasts to keep it popular.

I dont think the new Type-S will sell well. I also think the reg. TL should have that amount of HP.

Being the owner of a CL-S, I can tell you that the 260hp/FWD thing isnt that bad. Comparable to RWD/AWD of course not. Ive got new sways, shocks, springs and a tower brace it can hold its own on the twisties. With the addition of eaders/thermobock spacers/intake and exhaust its got more than stock, and still torque steer isnt that bad, its not like it rips the wheel out of your hands or anything. Even stock it was a solid car. You just have to rem. you can floor it out of the apex of a turn, you'll get dragged across the road by spinning wheels!
