It was smoking really really bad, and running horrible. We found out the Turbo was shot. We got a new one, put it on, now the car runs great.

Only prolem - it has issues starting. The battery was near dead, and the spark plugs were horribly fouled, so we replaced both. It starts BETTER, but not fixed.

The car, after started, runs AWESOME. I can burn some good rubber in this 4cyl Turbo. However, it cranks awesome, and you have to feather the gas just right, and then it will start.

We're going to run some Fuel Injector additive cleaner stuff through it. Any other suggestions?

 

Alternator, starter?

Volvos seem to bet hit and miss in terms of being reliable, esp. turbo models.

Try Lube Control FP60 as a gas additive.
