While one can argue about the aesthetics of 15 LCD screens at odd angles, the article states:
Which, is contradicted by the video, which indicates the car is now capable of 100% electric drive. That's a significant difference. This, presumably is what the Lithiums are all about.
And, there's no indication here, or on the Wired article, to give real performance info. Autoblog claims it doesn't go faster, but then of course they claimed the drivetrain was untouched. They may just be parroting Wired's assertion where Wired "assumes" the "drivetrain" is stock. I think both of these writers misunderstand the concept of "drivetrain" in a hybrid or electric vehicle. And neither are supplying facts.
The Hybrid Synergy Drive powertrain, however, went untouched save for the obligatory fart-can exhaust.
