lowrider, I think we all can agree that what coupe07 is saying is that this is a wedding convoy thread afterall. Of course, everyone is free to express their own opinions (and subject to flaming too) but this is not the right thread for it. As such, we should exercise some restraint and give some respect to the bride and groom and put an end to any unrelated discussions/opinions. The hijack of this thread has gone on long enough.

Well said.

We understand that forums serve as a platform for informative sharing and exchange of opinions and ideas. Alongside with the jargons and quotes, your personal opinions to date are defintely nothing less than being colorful and entertaining, no doubts about it.

However, it is imperative to note that there are Important factors that is essential before we posts. In this particular scenario we have;

1. Is it Appropriate?
2. Will it mislead and result in pandemonia objections?
3. Is it too general and insulting?
4. Is the topic of discussion + opinions deriveds from sensitve issues?

Lets @@, the thread says 'Wedding Convoy'.. not appropriate.. thread hijack, off track.

Lets @@, Opiniated views resulted in 2 detrimental chain reactions.

Insulting ? To guys nope, rather entertaining, but to the other gender.... we know.

Talking about women ... hmm, no need to further elaborate.

Bottom line, lets end the discussion here , less those who has pics to post, please do. It pays to be a little more tactful and reserve sometimes, especially when the discussion is on WoMAN.. enuff said. Your call.

U jolly well noe whether it is bickering or not. This is not a platform for u to showcase ur well illustrated usage of english or ur beautiful general knowledge abt everything. Yes i always advocate freedom of speech in forums, but if it has to go down to pinpointing a particular person and drifted way way out of point then i tink it has gone a bit too far. Look this is a wedding convoy thread. THen topics drifted to sex and the other nonsense. Do u tink it make sense? Dun tell me marriage lead to sex and all the bull. U noe this is not related.

Of cos, in car modifications, i may not be right totally. You can well ask me to stop if u dun feel like seeing my comments. I can accept criticism but i dun tink u can do likewise.

Come on, grow up pls and take comments positively..

INXS and SgFlyer: I accept your comments about hijacking the thread and i apologise.

But Coupe-meister:

1) What are you on about when you say, " This is not a platform for u to showcase ur well illustrated usage of english or ur beautiful general knowledge abt everything"?
Let's not have your own personal issue/chip cloud this discussion we have. What has our usage of the english language -- since you have brought this up twice now -- even related to anything I have done or said? I am lost here. Please elaborate.

2) I am sure I need to grow up as with most of us and I am sure you can teach us a few things on maturity.
3) I think you completely missed my point -- I would not ask you to stop even I disagree with you on your opinions. By disagreeing over an issue, its not called bickering. Its called free speech.

Finally INXS and Sgflyer, I accept your comments about hijacking the thread. I guess you two may need to draw up some specific guidelines for participants on the site on what constitutes "Hijacking" or even when? I am not the first one to do so and certainly not the last. It would be helpful.

1. Lets not argue and harp on wat u have said or else can reply until the cow comes home and its gg to be nvr ending. Be rational and scroll back, see what u have done and what the guys have replied and u shldn be lost.

2. Theres nothing i can teach u on maturity. Maturity cannot be taught.

3. You see what i mean in my previous comment?

Anyway, come for meetups when there is one. Drinks definitely on me. Have always seen ur comments but ur always behind the computer only. Let me or us put a face to ur nick, shall we? Theres nothing to be sore about.

As for Hijacking the thread. Inevitably, some threads may go way off topic. However, take note this is a wedding thread and its supposed to be happy and blissful. Its pretty sad that it has turned out to be argumentative. This is what i am trying to get across.

Normally when a thread goes off topic, i may not even bother and may even participate. For this case, i juz tink that it shldn turn out this way for a wedding convoy thread. I do encourage "talking ****" if you do notice in some of my previous comments. I guess this is the way to keep the forum going and "hot".

Wah, I didn't check the forum for just one week and so much has happened....

All I can say is: You poor poor dilusional fella....

Take it from me, married life isn't as bad as Hollywood or your good fren makes it out to be. Ask a few of the married forummers here, I'm sure there is a fair share of happily married men and women. Marriage is a life long promise. It should be entered with the right reasons and expectations. Men shouldn't marry their gfs expecting things to stay the same; and women shouldn't marry their bfs hoping to change them into the husbands they dream of. 1st of all, things will never remain the same, be it whether you are married or just dating, that is what life is all about, its dynamic, not static. In fact, if its the same thru out the relationship, we'll have another complain- that things have gotten monotonous. 2nd, if the bfs are not the husbands they dream of, wat on earth were they thinking getting married to them? You think just saying "I do" will change his mindset, mentality, taste, etc, to conform to what you expect/want?? 3rd, being married is all about starting a new life together- as ONE. Thats why marriage is also called an unity (of the couple). So the married couple should grow as one. To appreciate each other's good points, and to live with each other's short comings. Go thru the marrige vows. Its a promise to each other. Not some meaningless few sentences....

Ask any of them honestly, believe me, i have a lot more women friends than guys and I have done my fair share of this survey of this question. The thing is that we all change in life: you are not the same when you are 15, 25,35, 45 or 55. The hope for a marriage is that we both change together in the general direction.

If not... **** happens! No one died and therefore, women are all dispensable... except your mother. Can have many wives but only one mother.

Example: A good fren of mine. She has been married for 17 yrs now with 3 kids. Hates the hubby. He wants the same sort of relationship/dynamics when they first met. (Men in geenral don't like changes in our men/women relationship since we are the king most of the time.)
Taken her about the last 5 years but she has see her ways and has gained her confidence in her early 40s.... an asserting herself a lot more. Now don't wnat to listen and follow everything the hubby says... since she come to realised that he is not the sole source of truth and logic. He is getting worried with their relationship.... now calls her every hour to check up on her. Driving her crazy... the power structure/dynamics in their relationship has changed on both of them... better for her but not so happy for him. Did he know this 17 years ago...

Thats why I say... you just hope that 20+yrs down the road, they things work out together... no guarantees. Another example is to ask your parents esp your mum how things are then and now!! Ask anyone the honest truth of their long term marriage, say 20 years... see who is the happy one and who is unhappy... bet the roles have been reversed!

On the bright side of things, few options for guys: a good, old friend of mine.... his girlfriends are the same age as his dad's! Even when they are getting older but their GFs seem to stay around the same age or even getting younger! Or can turn gay in thailand...got $$ plenty of options!

Older women also got hope.... philippino private dance instructors! But nobody really wants to see an old lez doing her thing.... all loose skin and all!! So only one choice.. learn to "dance"

haiyah...why are you guys arguing over a small issue.

It all started with derekwcw saying dollygrrrl two face......

but hey....i would say she actually did the right thing instead of showing her 'i dun enjoy this event' attitude. At least she was showing face to the host and i respect that cos i will surely hate the fella till 10000rpm if he/she shows a tulan face during my big day

Would you like it if someone you invite showed their unhappiness in front of you during your wedding or hope they put on a smile even though they are unhappy? I know which one i'll choose...

nowadays got quite a lot of people in the forum whom have been quite active in their posts. some we know...some we don't. like what coupe07 said....put a face to the name. now macham talk until like want to fight like that...not so nice right...meet already sure become friends one.

make love...not enemies

Da Wedding Convoy Pics

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

It's been a month since my wedding...I know it's a kindof late, but I basically just came back from my honeymoon and a 2-week reservist training...so please forgive me for that.

I noticed that there were some "debating" going on in this thread, but I'm gonna just leave it alone, since it has already ended.

Ultimately, the message I would like to put across to all of you out there is a big THANK YOU for your support and participation in making my wedding such a success and I'm eternally grateful to all of you for that.

I have attached some pics of the day for all of you to enjoy...
