If you use cheaper films like mirage cost about 600+. You could try driving in to m'sia too. Think can save a extra 100 or 2. But dunno the quality. Comes with lifetime warranty(whoever needs it?) and they promise to redo for you if you fail LTA inspection.

Yup, i m on cool n lite too, not bad but dun expect it to make your car cool if your car is under the sun for more than half an hour
anything more than that, itz damn hot also...
HAhaa...but the car interior does become cooler in less time compared to without the films
imo, itz better than vkool

UV wise, most films will tell u its 99%......
IR is the heat rejection, which i tink cool n lite has one of the highest among its competitors (not counting V Kool, Huper Optik and 3M).......
if its baking in the sun, then even the best film is useless... if driving ard in hot sun, then yes, the heat rejection is impt!
hope this helps, bro.....

Thanks.
Thank you for all the feedback, a colleague of mine managed to get a hefty discount off from the V Cool package for me, cheaper then price quoted for 3M & Sumitomo. I had it fitted this morning. Using the VK 70 for the front and Vk 40 for the back.

VK70 all round is about $750, is this a good price ? should be able to get for you, if your want, I think.
But I did make a mistake about about my specs, it should be Vk70 for the rear and J83 for the front, also known as UV70 Protect for the package. Price at $550. PM e if you need the contact. Any inconvenience caused is much regretted.

I'm thinking of getting 3M also life time warranty and the top end ones are $800 + free carmat cut to custom fit your car(mat should cost around $150-180)
Still can't decide.

E-Cool
http://www.perfect.com.sg/main_ecool.html
http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publis...s/proudct.html
It claims to be able to lower the internal car temp by 10 degree even when U "brake" your car under the sun.
And its much cheaper than those window films.
Price: from $388.00 from "STAR Automotive Centre"
BUT
Price: $150 from "PERFECT WINDOW FILMS PTE LTD"
I do not know which price is the correct one. But if its $150 I will definitely install one and try.

i wld suggest u go for the above package by jin (matrix11) as that is almost the bargain of the season!!!!!
$700 package.. ir 100% and heat rejection 95%....... i tink u cun find this type of specs anywhere for this price for this premium brand. V-kool and huper optik will never offer this kind of prices for this type of specs. the best thing is 3m mats are included!!!!!!! FOC

Look again, I'm not taking about the Films sold by these company.
I'm taking about the E-Cool,
its a A micro-processor based controller that is adapted to control the actuation and operation of a vehicle's existing ventilation blower fan motor in conjunction with the utilization of the vehicle's existing ventilation ducting
This ventilation system controller piggy-backs on your car's existing air-conditioning system and battery supply. With the ignition off, e-Cool monitors and prevents cabin temperatures from increasing by switching on the air-conditioner blower.

Anyone thinks that this is better than the Window Film? cos most of them that install the window film states that if you leave your car under the SUN for 1/2 hr the interior will still heat up even with the best window film.
