my fren told me his uncle rx8 2004 need to change engine oil every 2 full tank...saying because rotary engine very hot...i was wondering whether its

I think he ment to CHECK his oil every 2 full tanks.

False. Usually change oil every servicing which is 5000km.

 

True only if you drive like your life depended on it otherwise 5000km seems about right.

change oil every 2 full tanks = ard 800km. u can if u wan actually.... but the normal is 5000km lah.......

2 full tank?? how big your tank ?? 370 liter (100 gallon) tank ??

 

I think i am am crazy to change my oil when it reaches the low oil mark but every 2 full tank is extreme.

The only other person i know who will do that drives a ferrari and he does not drives it often. And its because he does not drive the car much at all; so full tanks are months in between.

You should never listen to a fella who didnt actually driven an RX8, or says the car belongs to his uncle, nanny or his fren's uncle....

 

hm, thats like every 2 time i top up my petrol, i need to empty the engine oil and top it up again. i dont know, maybe his uncle driving it like an F1 car. haha! just kidding.
