Dear guys,

Read about it in today's papers... TopGear host Richard Hammond (fondly referred to as the Hamster by J. Clarkson) has been involved in a serious accident.

Richard was filming for an episode of TopGear when the accident occured at the airfield track. He was driving more than 482km/h trying to break the land record when the jet-powered car veered off the track and cartwheeled multiple times. Richard was evacuated by helicopter to the hospital, and he is now in critical condition. According to reports, he might suffer from brain damage amongst other serious injuries.

I enjoyed his bantings with JC very much, and his presence has made the show as enjoyable as it is. Please say a little prayer for him if you can...

I hope the Hamster gets better. He's my fav -- tired of Clarkson and his pompous attitude against anything that isn't british. Still living in the past. Hamster on the other hand, was willing to poke fun at himself or certainly let others do it to him. Breath of fresh air to the show.

He was in my prayers last nite ... no worries.. we'll send our rx8 representative to replace Hamster in the show.
