Hi,
Just curious about how is the 8's sound insulation.... I test-drove the car before and generally, I find the insulation ok except when I am in the back seat and the noise seem to be coming from the undercarriage.... Does anyone know if soundclad will help with this?

In addition, also wonder whether the car is noisy during rain. I test drove the Cefiro recently on a rainy day and the top sounded like a zinc attap roof because of poor sound proofing of the roof. Can anyone share on this for the 8?

You'll get either loud engine notes or loud exhaust melody probably some wind chimes and occasionally road tune, all these make the RX-8 a great performance car. Sound proofing is normally for luxury sedan or when you put in a good set of sound system in it.

Agreed... those are ok... just that after test drving the Cefiro, curious whether the 8 has the same problem. It was kinda irritating when every rain drop on the roof is so crisp and clear.....

Ah, you must drive faster then...that way, the rain drops will hit the car at an angle, reducing the noise :D

Seriously though, the car is pretty ok in terms of sound insulation. Never noticed any particularly loud raindrops.

Hmmm... let just say, I've heard even louder ones
