Slight burning smell....

I understand that the Renesis is designed to burn a small amount of engine oil progressively which is why we have to maintain oil levels consistently to avoid engine wear.

However everytime I work the engine hard (i.e. red lining the car when I'm in a hurry ) I get this faint burning smell from the engine.

I've regularly serviced the car with MM so that should not be a problem and my car is bone stock except for aftermarket rims.

Anyone else have this problem?

Also I'm due for servicing in 2000km and was interested in using HKS rotary oil - anyone using it? Comments?

yeah.. i get that too.
But what exactly do u mean by 'it's normal'? u mean something else other than fuel burning is normal? and what would be that 'something'?

i am stil quite curious as to what else is burning up when we push the car hard.
