I got a few enquiries...so just want to clear some doubts that were asked.

Can the engine cover still be put on - YES. No issues. Only thing is that you have to do very minor cutting on the side of the cover...which already has the groove in place as the original strut is also there. Just have to cut a little bit to fit the cusco strut.

$180 for the cusco is a steal!!! i paid so much more for mine...... i concur with ngkenny, no issues putting the engine cover on... There IS a difference in handling with this sweet mod.

highly recommended!

agree that 180 is cheap.

anyhow, the cusco is two point strut right? if it is, how different can it be as compared with stock. unless stock strut is very soft? could it be psychological?

i may be wrong but think it would help in brake response (due to brake stopper) and make engine bay look nicer only? pls clarify. thanks.

hi,

yeah....a simple 2 pt strut. stock is weeny...this is bigger...and more bad *** looking. I think it covers the 3 screw mounting point instead of the 2 from the stock, thus more chasis coverage. stock is not bad...cos car comes with it. But with the cusco...steering response is defintely tighter as opposed to the stock. more feel. Like what bruce lee will say.....'dun think....feellllllll' haha

Brake response wise....ok....it does its job.
make engine bay look nicer. Score brownie points cos its blue...and my car is blue....so of cos nicer.

hope i cleared ur doubts.

k

2 point STRUT bar is straight forward. a piece of bar to stabilise ur handling and cornering.

1. This is made by cusco, $180 for this cusco brand alone is more than value for money oredi.
2. This comes with brake stopper, and again, its only $180.
3. This is thicker and of better material than stock and its $180 only.
4. Putting this as "used goods" aside, this CUSCO strut bar is by far the best value for money strut bar out in the market. The earlier batches of rx8 owners mostly have this strut bar. Even the most stock looking rx8 (u noe that im referring to u, stock black rx8) has this strut bar to replace the original bar. Even if u dun buy this for ur performance, u can buy this for aesthetics bcos its only $180 only.

2 cents worth of opinion.

The stock strut is like a "BROOM STICK"
can be broken with our bare hands. U can try removing it and it can be flex easily.
