Any idea why the resale value of the 4AT is almost the same as the 6MT model from MM? But to start the 6MT is already 20k more than the 4MT ? Pls advise...

 

Are u sure? Everything the same??? I seriously doubt so.

Anyway even if it is true, asking price is NOT traded price. For 4 AT or 6 MT, u can ask watever price u like, prob is whether u can sell! so maybe the 6MT is genuinely seller wanting to let go fast, 4 AT is anyhow put price see whether got sucker buy ot not.... 2nd hand pricing is always difficult to understand and if u are looking for a used one, why hesitate???

No worry mkt is always perfect.... and yes , the 6MT and 4 AT will be the same price if u buy both of them, or else ......

I have a buddy that sells Mazdas. They sell more Autos than manuals. Auto is usauly considered a more desirable feature and in most cars cost more. Americans are getting lazy and no one wants to shift for themselves anymore.

 

Apparently if you take a look at sg carmart and the same year 2004 rx8 are the same price be it auto or 6MT MM model....and if you check their paper value they are also the same too. sigh ...... same OMV. Me too wish they are diff.... as you said maybe they are just trying their luck .....
