Road trip up Mersing on 12th Nov 05
Dear all,
Ever since the Sepang trip, most pple have expressed their interests and desires to go up north again. This time round, we are organising a shorter trip up north. Pure clean fun. THe whole trip is expected to take slightly more than half a day and there will be many stops along the way. The routes will be more or less the same as what jetblast has organised a few months back. The pictures are breath-taking! Pls refer to https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...light=jetblast for the routes we are taking and the pictures from the last trip.
We do expect a fair share of participants. Again, no amount of words can tell u how fun this trip is gg to be. Those who went up north with us before, shld noe. Minimal danger, maximum fun. Cheap petrol, cheap GOOD food, cheap cigarettes..... I do hope our resident hardcore trackie, Mr Jetblast, is available for this trip. He is da man! Altho there is another garang newcomer who nos the routes well, i tink we need more guys like jetblast to lead. Born leader with excellent comms/talkie skills! :D :D :D :D Ok, jokes aside, date is set at 29 OCT 05. However, if u guys tink that there is a better date, pls suggest. Itinerary is not planned yet but will be confirmed at a later date if the strength is healthy and nothing goes wrong. Definitely meeting at 2nd link petronas and its definitely in the morning. Will not be as early as the sepang trip, so dun worry abt the difficulty waking up part (this part is for lohsk and partner). Jetblast, pls revert back to me. Rest of the pilots, pls do join us as well. I'm sure u will love this trip, altho not by flying a boeing, but a mazda.
All rx8 are welcomed to join. If U have frens with other makes and models, they are welcomed too. But we wld prefer the majority to be the rx8 gang. dru8999, u missed the last few rounds. Try to make it this round, the rx8 gang are juz as fun, if not better than the grandis guys!! :D :D :D Those want to "clear carbon" ones, good time. Want to try cornering, oso good chance. Can try whatever u wan, but jus dun ever try to be funny. It will backfire.
Having said all that, i not gg to volunteer anyone this time round. I only volunteer myself. We hope to achieve at least 10 rx8s before we can consider this as successful. Regulars signed-on guys, u shld noe ur names are automatic in one... juz slot in the names urself. Remember its only slightly more than half a day + fun + value for money.
Again, if u guys need reference, pls look at jetblast previous thread. The link is on top with breath-taking sceneries.

Will definitely try to make it. Best date for me is actually a week later. i.e. 19th Nov. Btw, the Grandis group is going up north from 9th to 13th Dec, 2nites in KL and 2 nites in Genting. Any one wants to go along? It will surely not be a leisurely drive as you guys wont believe what some of the owners there have done to their rides!

Dont worry. I did the trip before. and I'm not a very good driver in terms of driving fast.
What I did was to follow behind another car (better driver) not too close.
Just follow him, he slow down , I slow down , he brake I brake.
And after some time u will discover that your driving skill will improve after some time.
Usually the a very good driver will be at the rear of the fleet, and u will not be left behind.

This is a must go trip, at least once.
will never be able to find those kind of turns and bends and good quality roads in Singapore.
Hard to come by in Malaysia too.

you can try www.spiosk.com it's about 26 250 yen
but dat's for stock and yours the beri chieo ings
anyway no harm trying or u can order thr the shop who got your kit.
if u wanna use tape get the industrial type with a wide width similar to those used on track.
but it's a lot of hassle so screw the tape bro.
if you wanna go malaysia u just have to put up with the ugly stone/rock pelts on your paint work.
especially with convoys it can't be avoided.
but who cares it was bloody fun in convoy right
if you loved and enjoyed it, this trip to mersing on the B roads/ trunk roads will be even better......
