I have a question...any of u guys meeting in Singapore first? Or can someone advise me what time I need to reach custom in order to reach Petronas at 9am? Thx.

 

once you cleared the malaysian customs keep left immediately
look out for a big signage with diagrams of prayer/dining/rest/petrol stops along the left road shoulder.

take the first left turn although it will lead you to the prayer/dining/rest stop initially.
drive through the parking area of the prayer/dining/rest stop and you will see esso and petronas station at the other end.

however, should you missed the first turn the immediate second inconspicuous turn is your next chance.
if you missed both, as long as you keep left, there is still hope!
when you see petronas, pull over on the road shoulder and back the car into the station....

be warned! the position of road signs in malaysia is sometimes placed just after the turn!
so if you passed the signs you have passed the turn too
sounds bad ya, just drive slower than usual and keep left.

estimate to reach the singapore customs no later than 0830 in order to arrive at petronas with enough time to gas up and get acquainted before we hit the road......

Truly enjoyable with enuff twists and turns to keep the adrenalin pumpin.....

All those people thinking about going up north but scared....do not worry....seemed pretty safe enuff today....

Just drive within your means/guts/skill and look out for each other....

Most impt bring comms....why? So you wont miss out on the blonde jokes....haha....

 

Before this trip I dare fast on a 2 Lane road.

Cos I'm always afriad of getting too close to the on coming traffic..

But after today. The confident level Rise to a Much higher level.

How I do it. just drive behind those experience (good) drive.

During the sector from Kulang to Desaru. on those 2 lanes roads with alot of twisty and turns.
When they brake I brake, when they slow down I slow down.
And after a few hours of practise... I discover that I can do some of things which I never would dare doing.

I felt that its a begineer's training class for before I start going to the tracks.

ITS JUST WONDERFUL.

 

kudos to Jetblast and the team for organising, leading and even taking great shots of the cars.. everything well thought for, down to the solid makan! don't think i would be able to discover those interesting country roads myself, and that kampong beach resort was cool.. so secluded and quaint.. gotta do it again sometime..

oh ya, not to mention the renesis got a good exercise today as well

A fantastic day to go for a drive in Malaysia! Here's a pic of the first road side stop to regroup...

 

....then we traversed a completely technical series of roads that was thoroughly enjoyable and arrived here....that's errant, and looks like he's about to hop the edge ....a nice T grey too

 

So we lined up for a "kodak moment" and took this...

 

The group then sorted for a guys vs. girls pic...too many guys?

 

...was a beautiful spot and we lined up accordingly....

 

...onto the next destination...the ride down here was superb....jetblast took us into this little oasis so we stopped to take some pix....

Grass higher than my car....was this road really supposed to be on the agenda? haha

 

..and then we came upon the dawn of a completely revved up 8 day...saw the moment and took some pix....

 

Look at these guys....RX 8 aficianados just waiting for the next perfect shot....but really wanting to just jump back in their cars and go like hell!
