Radio Reception

I am posting this to seek a solution for the horrible radio reception that I have been experiencing in my car. Understand fr the dealer they have fitted an "expander" that enables reception but it still sounds terrible. Has anyone tried fiiting any FM radio device that can in plug into the head unit via the aux-in? I am really at my wits end cos I listen to the radio a lot whenever I am on the road. Many thanks.

Digital radio? Digital Audio Broadcast? Where can that be done? At what cost? Not all local stations support DAB right? I listen to 93.3, 93.8, 95.0 n 98.7 most of the time, r they all on DAB? Seen a demo of DAB player last year was very impressed wih the sound quality.

hi dru8999,

for original factory radio u actually need a convertor for receiving fm. there are 2 types of convertor in the market. one from china and the other from new zealand. i personally ve tested the two convertors. probably, yr dealer must ve fitted the china one for u.
(u got i mean) btw pls dun quote me when bringing up this to yr dealer.

To M-ster n 666, just saw ur messages as i had a busy day. Can u bros email me at dru8999@hotmail.com on this topic? My mileage is 350km now, bet M-ster must have covered more than me right? I do not have a 6pc changer as i opted for mp3. Ride's good but consumption is ....brrrrrurghh. Btw, how do I check which converter i have got in my radio? Pls advise. Tks.

Thanks dru8999. I have been pretty busy since I've got the car, thus, have not been driving much just yet. I just pass 250km, only.

dru8999,

u can simply just send it back to yr dealer and strongly demand the problem to be solved. They will definitely know what to do.
