Purchasing the RX8 in Malaysia

Hello everyone,

I recently stumbled upon this site while searching for information on the RX8 as I was planning to buy one. It was great to find Malaysian users here and I decided what better way to find out more about the car than asking those who own them.

In my research, I have found many problems regarding to the RX8, such as engine flooding, brake squeals, tyres wearing out, low mileage, high oil consumption, etc. I was wondering if you guys think the car is actually worth it. All these problems I've read haven't really thrown me off the car just yet, but I would still like to get some opinions, especially from users in Malaysia.

I would also like to find out the current price for the car and it's different types, and where is the best place to purchase it. I hope to be part of the Malaysian RX8 Club soon enough.

Thanks in advance!

Engine flooding happens to some, never to me...... Brake pad squeals becos it's performance type, nothing wrong with that...... tyre wear out is a problem??? never heard of that, truly depends how you treat your car...... low mileage and high oil comsumption happens to subaru and evos as well......

Thanks lennon.. like I said, I doubt any of this problems are going to put me off the RX8, it is an amazing car, but I have to admit it does still worry me, nagging at the back ofmy mind.. lol.

Every cars have their problem..... i wont even say BMW is perfect...... It's hard to get a car where it has bullet-proof reliability, unless it's Porsche or Ferrari.....

RX8 engine produce lots of heat.... you can feel it at the center console.... Be careful of the oil you use in Renesis, not every oil suit tihs engine.....

6 spd AT just launch this year, expecting it to be sold at 200k plus.....
