I think I'm the only one here and yes I will! There is a similar thread to this on the Discussion forum. So the first one you'll all see is a fully loaded Titanium 6-speed.

Any special requests - put them in this thread and I'll go through them in April once my own excitement has died down!

 

Take a picture of the inside of each console (front and rear), glove box, and the controls on the side of the steering wheel opposite the radio. I also want to see these special sun vizors the 8 is supposed to have....... OH and underneath the side-view mirrors, I read somewhere that there are lights there that illuminate the ground when you open the door. confirm or deny that. :D

I can confirm the door mirrors! Crazy feature. I saw them on the cars they had at the Mazda R&D HQ when I went there in December. I guess it stops you stepping in puddles when you jump out in the dark.

 

you know how at a dealership they always try to talk you into the accessories that don't come with the car?

Does the mazda dealership out there have any cool "jdm" accessories that we wouldn't be able to get out here?

And that's totally weird how your stats for the j-spec one read the same as the us-spec one (250hp/ps) I was always under the assumption that the US ones come under powered in comparison because of our emission laws.

 

Actually, ps is a little bit more than hp, so 250ps > 250 hp. conversion is about 1 hp = .98 ps, although it is not definite, it's a whole other topic of itself. so yeah, jdm rx-8 is still a little more powerful than usdm rx-8.

 

If we wait until your excitement dies down, we won't hear from you until December!?! I guess we'll just have to be patient with you.
