I happen to see some PI advertising the new 2006 Mazda RX8? Anyone knows how different it is from the 2005 RX8? I am actually looking to buy an RX8 for some time already.

Dun think there's much of a difference? I juz got mine in May, so I presume
its 06 model...Dun really any distinct difference between mine n the previous
year...

 

mine a 2006... 6MT
new color...new seats, new bezel, new meter rings, new plate, that's all...

But the car still the same.... a wonderful 8.

 

Wonder if you're looking at PIs then it is for an AT?

Maybe 2006 rx-8 means car registered in 2006 but may be made 2004/2005.

 

My 2006 RX8 is fixing the accessories now....its not at the PI shop itself...dunno where Once i get it, then i show up at the meetup and let u all compare simi difference

Ya, MM 2006 comes with the remote/retractable key.

 

Emperor is right. There's a difference between assembled in 2006 and registered in 2006. It all depends on whether the PI you got it from has stored it in a warehouse for the past 2 years or less.

Mine was assembled in 2006 and i dont see a difference. Perhaps just the new car smell and the fact that its "fresh" as compared to a older one ...

Rei, very simple...from the log card u will know the year of manufacture. Anyway Snowflake, how your car been doing?Got use to it already?

 

I think not much difference anyway. Mine is a jun 05

04 and 05 - immobiliser and keyless entry (can also install yourelf, less hassle with alarm system somemore)

05 and some 06 or late 05 have chrome dials and a little here and there.

The biggest diff is the 6sp AT with 250hp engine. That is the one to get. Just too bad its not a DSG or direct sequential gearbox. If the new 6sp has that, its almost a baby ferrari.
