Was busy setting up an internet forum...

I remembered that there used to be talk of setting up a forum for RX-8 members in Singapore?? Are we still doing that... I dun mind lending a hand...

 

i tink we shall go ahead on our own..... daverx8 has been extremely busy n i tink its not fair for him to do it alone.....

Vanquish, do u wan to kickstart? I'm IT idiot... so i can only give comments and do odd job..... make coffee, sweep floor...... technical aspect, i not sure..

 

I think is good to start our own forum, i used to be driving a RAV4 n they have set up their vary own forum, i can said vary successful. We can sell our parts there, told about tech problem on our ride, vary own Windscreen Decal, T-shirts, personnal windscreen decal ID Tag, and the list go on..........

Sounds like a good deal.... I'm just concern about their back-up and security against viruses... as for the bandwidth, it's a shared hosting, so will still be abit slower when the forum gets big...

Also, u guys have to decide which software u guys wanna use, there's php, invision amongst others.... my board using Invision Power Board... u guys can take at look at wat I did :

Most forums format are fine... even the current rx8 club one is good.

but pls dun use the delphi forum format... its not user friendly and the interface is.... lets juz say it is not the most fantastic forum to surf........
