Mazda Club Singapore (MCS) is extending their invitation to us for the MCS Mega Meet-Up. Hope that we, RX8 members are able to join them as there'll be also some RX7s joining too. The meet-up is to share & interact.

The details are as follows:

Date: 30 Jan 2005 (Sunday)
Venue: Marina South Carpark B (Carpark behind Superbowl)
Time: 2pm or 1400hrs

I suggest that we will carry on with our meet-up on 30 Jan 2005 @ Kallang but the timing change to 1pm..... thereafter we'll proceed as a group instead of convoy from Kallang to Marina South (Is it ok with u guys?) :p :p :p

Latest update - MCS has gathered a total of abt 100 mazda cars (M1,2,3,6 & RX7) for the Mega Meet-Up (excl. RX8)

nice idea! but is 1pm meeting up at kallang too rushing? another qns... such a long convoy... TP will come disturb or not? later if public complain? u know Singaporeans complian here complain there

 

if everyone reached Kallang by 1pm, i think shouldn't be a problem.

Maybe i shouldn't use the word convoy.....we can split from Kallang abt 2pm & travel to Marina South......... then we meet again :p :p :p

no traffic obstruction, no hogging or not endangering to the public or road users.......no offence.........

 

Great idea Daverx...meet at Kallang KFC at 1 pm and then over to Marina South...fantast8 What's the best route for the group of 8's to get to MS? Nicholl highway all the way down to Maxwell, turn left?

I wouldn't miss it... unless I have to work, in which case I would be out of SG.
Gen, alternative routes are Fort Rd, ECP or Nicoll Hwy, Raffles Blvd, ECP.

ECP would be a good choice...
Easy to spot the exit and wont have any problems following along.

 

Hardest part in maintaining a big convoy together would be at traffic lights junctions. And oddly enough, the Nicoll Hwy route has the least traffic light junctions. Although, as you have rightly pointed out, the ECP route is more straightforward.
