Is the MazdaSpeed front end practical for MY/SG?

I planing to get an RX-8 as I'm getting frustrated with the my FWD semi-auto after driving it around for six months (moved to SG from the USA seven months ago - been driving stick all my life). Didn't care for the boy ricer Evo or Subie look, and wanted to be in a car that would sit lower to the ground (and still carry four adults!) and do occasional track work.

I've narrowed my choice of colors to either Silver, Red or Grey but the color might be dependent on whether I stay stock or go for the MS front end (none of the other kits float my boat). Silver is waaay too common in SG (every Honda and Toyota appears to be silver) but looks good with the MS front (gonna skip the wing as it hinders my rear vision). If I go stock, I may go with Red or Grey.

I'm not usually one for bodykits but the location of the SG license plate spoils the front end look. Having a MS front end seems to return the "mouth" look to the car, however, with the zillion curbs around SG and big-a** potholes in MY (I go to KL once a month or so), I'm concerned that it'll look like trash after 6 months. This car is my daily driver so I have to do grocery runs in it as well.

Thoughts?

Btw, I've perused a ton of pics so I have a good idea of what it looks with and without the MS front.

Alternatively, does the LTA allow one to mount the license plate to the side? That's what my Alfa 156 has currently but it comes from the factory that way (immigration folks always need to get out and note it down as it doesn't capture it on their camera).

TIA

You may want to reconsider the rear spoiler....... Without it, reversing would be a chore. Otherwise, you'd be guessing where ur 8's *** is........ Blind Spots are aplenty in the 8.......
