Rachael... one of my managers ordered his 8 from you... feedback is that you didn't keep him updated when his shipment arrived in SG leh... :p Not trying to be farny, just giving you some feedback so you can give better service and win more customers. Good product knowledge is also a must... so browse more throughout this forum.
Instead of looking for more and more sales by soliciting, you could perhaps do a good job to your existing customers. Maybe if you serve them well they will start recommending you. That could probably bring you more sales than spending time entertaining wannabes instead of serving potentials.
Hi Rachael
1. Know about the car. The RX8 is no ordinary ride and need extra care. Learn as much as u can so u know how to advise cust in servicing, maintaining and upgrading (and get MM management to do something abt the rotary oil change for a start!!)
2. Fight for the rights of all RX8 owners PI or MM. Then ur base of customers get bigger.
3. Read as much abt the thread on buying from MM and know what is the basic expectation of an SE (mine didn't even give me the key chain hahaha).
4. To do well in this line, u must be enthusiast. Should not be another job cos it will be very diff for u to keep up with the customers/owners. When I talk to u abt bodykit, u must be able to tell me more than what I know rite? Or spark plugs, or oil change?? Not those crap u hear from anyone. If there is a special manual on the car from Mazda Japan, maybe u should read it!
Think the above will keep u busy!

Bro cusco... I oredi quite nice liao, no meh? hee hee... that's why I even say it's just "feedback" mah.. hahaha :D That day happen to talk to that manager and he was complaining to me, I tried to console him and just told him to call his SE to find out what's happening.
At least my SE kept me informed. Told me car would arrive in late August, but when it arrived early around 1st August, he immediately send me an email to inform me that my 8 arrived and he'll try to hold it for as long as possible before I return from Australia. Manwe is right, should concentrate on giving existing customers good service first. BTW, Manwe... another red 8 will appear in STC soon...

Hi guys,
I truly appreciate your advice and comments. To be honest, I wasn't prepared for such warm welcome to the forum, but thanks.
To Sqflyer - I'm afraid the s/e your manager bought the car is not me... Cos I only started work wz MM on the 02 Nov, so it's impossible that I'd sold the RX8.... though I'll love to.... There's more than one s/e with the same name in MM. My last name is Tan.
I may not be a technical expert when it comes to car, but I'm sure I'll learn and I'll also be able to pick up info from you guys too.... As for customer service, I try my best... but till someone buys a car from me, there's really no better way to judge isn't it?
By the way, if it's of interest to any potential RX8 buyers here, the price has just gone down by 2K...so, call or mail me if you're keen.
To NEON - I'm afraid I'll have to dissapoint you... cos' I don't even look close to your avatar...ha ha....I'm just a plain jane!
To Watoke - The RX8 remote is non-retractable, but whether or not it's available at all, I'll keep you inform once I find that out.

COE my friends....lots of 'em expired on 1.6 and below....either a Sing car buyers dream or their worst nightmare (I'm in the latter class
)
Ms. Tan, do us a favour, put the MM oil issue to rest for us, will MM only honour the warranty for Shell 20w50 dino oil or can we use syn on the oil changes and still keep the warranty intact? For instance, if I bring in a sufficient amount of Royal Purple for my first oil change at 5k?
Another thing....will MM Sing paint our rotors under warranty cause of the rust that develops?
Inquiring minds (and confused 8 owners) want to know

The SE I bought from oso quite new, less than 3 months at MM when I bought my 8 through him. Service quite decent... usually the newer SEs more on the ball. Older ones more bo chap I think.
