Mazda Releases RX-8 Sport Prestige Limited II Special Edition

Got this info recenlty from Garage R, they are bringing in only 3 of these. Its a cool SGD 25k more as compared to the Type E. Minor changes to overall look, better undercarriage and control, fully electronic, 250horses, etc.

Check http://rotarynews.com/node/view/702 for more info.

This news was very much debated in the US forum.

The general consensus, Mazda has chose to ignore the most important factor.

POWER! These Limited Editions are using Type S and E engines.

250 hp is applicable only to 6 sp manual.

S$25, 000 for small luxuries, in my opinion is not worth it.
It's 25K added to their last selling price of 110K(4AT) = 135K?
If I am not mistaken, they are bringing in the Type E 4AT limited edition.

Doesn't even come with a body kit, no 6 speed auto or a turbocharged version.

In my personal opinion, 25K can get me a lot of mileage in terms of power,
suspension, stability, ICE and full kit, still got spare change.

Totally agree dude...

That's why after that short visit, I decided to stick with considering to go for a Type E. I can get an upgrade on a higher end ECU and increase the HP under a good 6k. Anyways... the RX8 is a head turner by itself... unless you are the racing type, it doesn't really matter what's under the hood

Here's an interesting link to a comparison chart of the different RX8 models
with prices.

You might feel disgusted after seeing the price differences between the
6 speed manual and the 4AT in the states and in spore.
