hi guys... I'm in need of an OEM exhaust system. Currently runnin a Jasma free flow system... the sound is music but it has really messed up my AF ratio.... has anyone got one lying around for sale/trade.. Installed my kit for 8k n am willing to let it go just for an OEM exchange...
Has anyone got fender strakes? Cant bring myself paying 600 for a new one so I'll settle for a 2nd hand if anyones planning to get rid of theirs.
Thanks...

Stumbled upon a set of used RAYS Mazdaspeed Forged 3 Piece 18" rims when i was in JB a couple of days ago. Needless to say, ended up purchasing em. Put on new ADVAN NEOVA AD07 tyres 235/40 front & 265/35 rear. Rims are 18 x 8 1/2 offset 39 front & 18 x 9 1/2 offset 43 rear........

Here are some pics......

Will be using em for a couple of months till i get myself a new set. In the mean time, i'll be running these. I love the width of these wheels.... The AD07 tyres make em even more awesome.......

the whole story

Well, my mechanic (Edmund VazMaz) tells me its a Jasma free flow system... the thing is mine is a recon n the prev jap owner upgraded to a free flow system minus the catback kononlah extra horses.... The thing sounds good n all, a bit extra trust on low end but the AF ratio totally upside down. Start the car in the moring got petrol smell redi... the idling is unstable and the car vibrates a bit at 700rpm. Nzway, hav u guys heard of a chap in KayEll who does custom titanium exhaust systems for a fraction of the price of the 'big names' and it sounds great according to a friend of mine who switched his Greddy on his Evo9 to this... costed him 4k but the darn thing looks and sounds sweet.. kinda like a corvette.
guys, RM100 for the whole exhaust system izzit including the catback?

Guys, do u hav that 'hamster on a wheel' noise when u release the clutch.... The friggin noise has beeen gettin louder lately and a couple of online articles attributed it to the T/O bearing.... tukar itu sudah cukup or should I think about changing the entire clutch system? Its the darn cost thats scary.. Wangan quoted me RM4500 for an Autoexe clutch system.. darn, thats like a total overhaul cost of an S-Class triptonic gear system man!!!

Dunno how much they weigh coz haven't put em on a scale yet... ...BUT.... they were very light when i picked em up (without tyres of course )........

Paid bout Rm3.5k excluding tyres (AD07's are EXPENSIVE )....... Reasonable larrr....... Not cheap but not too expensive either.......

As for the 265/35 tyres....... accellaration not affected too much......in fact, ive hardly noticed any drastic change..... Maybe its coz my 8 is a manual..... It may affect the auto 8's a bit...... Dunno.... can't comment coz ive never driven an Auto Rx8 ...... BUT..... I do agree..... 265 is hugely wide.... Especially ADVAN NEOVA AD07's..... they are similar to running 275 tyres coz AD07 are the widest compared to other similar sized tyres.........

Sivanes - I also use a Jasma Freeflow on a 4AT. My A/F ratios are fine based on the last dyno I did. Averaging about 12-13 for me. How sure are you that it's not your Cat Converter clogged up and the O2 sensor do it's job properly?

Effie - Nice rims. LOve the width of the rear dish. Place a cigarette box on it and take a pic

Boy - Thanks for the comments.

RM4500 for the clutch? That should be a mistake.
The price should be RM4100 including installation.
Anyway, you can call me at 0162021148.

Yes the hamster on a wheel is an immaculate description of the sound. Well done! I'm also having the same dilemma actually.

Btw how many kms do you have on your car sivanes? The sound came on mine after about 35000-ish kms.

Also, wangan, I'm considering replacing the clutch system, preferably something with more bite, but driving comfort is very important to me (i.e. pedal stiffness). Any recommendations? Any members with VALUABLE input please chime in...
