Any of u guys still have the original dark tinted rear windscreens? Anyone kena letter from JPJ to reinspect their cars?

Was contemplating changing the rear windscreens but was told by MingHeng that the original clear ones costs abt 5.5K.. freaking expensive but to settle JPJ without inspection .. was quoted RM 1.3K.. The china ones cheaper but highly not recommended.

Anyone got any ideas where to source clear rear windscreens or settle JPJ cheaply?

Yeah got mine via Marcus too. Btw Mazda Malaysia quoted the clear windscreen at RM2650 if I'm not mistaken.

No letters from JPJ for inspection here. (am using the dark glass)

1. 5 speed MT
2. 4 speed auto
3. 4 speed auto (TYPE E)
4. 6 speed MT (TYPE S)

izzit correct all the sifu's here?and How come some RX8 come wif tv/Navi and some don't have?

 

well...dont confuse that much.....auto shud be type E and manual shud be type S....
..the 6 speed suppose to be the current as in 2004/05 and 2006 model... (depends whether jdm or other country)........some come with the nav. screen is bcoz depend on the luck of PI......usually the PI doesnt know technically the specs or bodykit yang dorang bawak masuk.............my one is just the type E 2003......but with the bodykit and just 16" rim(change to 18" oready...)...plus with the rear foglight...............some PI luckily brought in full mazdaspeed bodykit.......sometimes w/out the sports bodykit.............sometimes brought in with just the mazdaspeed sidemirror only.......well.......everything nasib la................

When you buy a RX8 in Japan, dealer will ask wat you wan.... Navigation?? Auto or Manual???... Leather or Fabric ?? with sound system or not??? Mazda Malaysia didnt bring in the car so we cant choose the option we wanted.

u lucky man! i damn boh syok .. my car plate wilayah but kena saman inspection to padang jawa but i was told .. if jpj johor spots u, they have right to invite u to their jb branch for inspection too. my dealer says, these jpj guys after makan waiting for berak...
