Limited Edtion 2 or Shinka 2

The Shinka Limited Edition 2 is really old news by now.

But nothing beats seeing the real thing.

What's the difference between the Type E and the JDM Shinka 2 Type E.

Shinka has additional perks like :-

1. Piano black steering
2. Leather handbrake
3. Leather console, front and black
4. 2 tone Beige leather with alcantara(suede like) for seats
5. Beige leather for door panels
6. Black cherry paintwork
7. Chrome finish rotary emblem at headrest
8. Keyless entry, should be the new credit card remote.

The visible upgrades are mostly internal.
The external lights/fog lights look just like the standard 8.

However it does not have a sunroof(which some of us rather not have)

I guess being JDM model, it has a speed cut which a HKS SLD can easily remove.

The best part about the Shinka 2 is THE PRICE!!!
It is very very very close to the 6 speed manual type E.

If I am shopping for an 8 today, I will definitely go for the Shinka 2.

Just to clarify some things, gonna book my Shinka II tomorrow, the Shinka II doesn't come in Black Cherry, the new colour is Copper Red, and you can also get it in Pearl White, Titanium Grey and Brilliant Black.

Also I think you meant 6 speed manual Type S as the Type E is automatic.

If I am not wrong the lights and rims are in a darker shade to the original too, but don't quote me on that.

What price were you quoted. Just wanna make sure we are on the same track

Gonna bargain with the dealer again cos I am thinking with the MM Type S dropping to $114,988, the $122,000 I was quoted seems a little high.

Given the developments, don't accept anything higher than $110k for the Shinka II, stay the course and bargain your best.

Sori Sori I mean the 6 speed type s. The Shinka type e is coming in march 06.

the one that i saw looks like the black cherry like the ones found in the states leh.

the copper red, is it found on the mx5 or lexus is200,
if it is, then i didn't see that colour.

the rims look like the standard stock 18" to me and i was looking out for the difference in the lights but they look the same to me...maybe the actual stock coming in will have these difference.

the price, let juz say is Type S price plus a set of coilovers.
but the OMV of the Shinka is 40K as compared to the standard type
S at 38 or 37K.

If you are checking websites, they are using pictures of the original Shinka.

Shinka II definitely only comes in the 4 colours I mentioned. Been pestering PI's about it for over 2 weeks now

Check my link in previous post. Also, when I rang Garage R last week, they had 2 Copper Red's in stock, so not sure if they have sold them yet. Garage R offering at $120,988 +1k for pearl white.

Yes they have them in stock when i went there just early this week. Both pieces are in copper red.
They also brought in the first facelift S2000 into singapore with the VGS. My god the car looks stunning in the steel!!!

Interesting point is i didnt realise shinka 2 came in different colours thought it was just one, maybe i better start reading up instead of banging my computer games too much. :D

Hey Beerkung, according to the dealer, he just informed me that they will be stopping production on Shinka II's. Car will be arriving first week of April.

I am unsure if you are able to order it at this stage, but best check with PI in regards to this. For me I dealt with Jimmy from World of Wheels.

Shinka II's do not come with Sun/Moon Roof, I think additional 3K for sunroof, I personally didn't want a sunroof anyway.

I payed 120K for the Shinka II, plus 1K for pearl white. According to the dealer this is the last and only 2006 Shinka II to be produced.

Don't know if it was just sales talk, but you can confirm it with them.

Hi loonsy, thanks for your advise. Actually I live in Bangkok and I had talked with the importer and he also tell me that he can find "The last white pearl Shinka2" for me. I still wonder that why he said the same thing with yours. Anyway he also tell me that all the color for shinka 2 already finished but if you want it one, the only color you can get is Copper red only. I not sure that how can i believe in his statement. anyway give me an advise for this.

It's best to have the Dealer call Japan and clarify if the Shinka's are still available for sale.

Should get your contact, I do pop over to Bangkok every now and then, and have friends there. So be nice to meet up with u.
