watoke....that would be an awesome combo bro, been thinking about it myself. But wouldn't a CAI driving an 8 in a humid place like Sing be prone to hydrolock? Or, are u thinking since it's outside the engine bay that wouldn't be a problem?

Hahaha

We have prob trying to decide on one brand and now u are adding another product? The HKS exos is just too expensive at the moment so it will take a lot of bargaining to get the price down. If the intake (CAI) is the one costing abt $1k+ (with in built shield etc), then it is not suitable for auto RX8 (words from a highly reliable GR personnel). The mushroom filter just lose too much low end torque for auto 8.

Yeah, been doing some reading from the mag (HK, and US), apparently with both, is works beautifully (hopefully, is not that kind of marketing gimmicks)
Well, SGP is hot, but I guess with the heat shield and is outside the engine bay, guess is shd be fine ....

When u are in GR, ask to see Lee's RX8 (one of the sister) with the intake. Sure steam. But at $1k plus, I'll go for exos first, then the intake :D :D
Changing header is even better and if u ask me. Get the header and exos combo first rather than CAI. Of course CAI impressive to look at whereas header cannot be seen easily. Unfortunately, exos header mod is ILLEGAL so u do at ur own risk. Naturally if u do all three mods (commonly known as I/H/E), the synergy will be great.

EBS, I'm still waiting to hear from Ryan on the pricing for the Fujitsubo, but initial estimates are good. Personally, I think HKS is too pricey and gains are not necessarily better.

Hi

I agree. Fuji make very good exos and sort of a exos specialist co. I have some friends (a group of euroR owners) who imported the exos themselves and are very happy with their purchases. The price diff between Fuji and HKS is a lot and some bro may want to top up a little from the HKS exos price to get the Fuji exos with HKS CAI!

That is wat I term value for money. Hope to hear a cfmed price be4 u spread the good news.

Hi flyer....the initial estimates good based on group purchase, or whether Fujitsubo gets LTA approval in Sing?

Gen, the estimates are based on a order of 10 or more. Then they are going to get LTA approval for the Fujitsubo exhaust. So I guess to answer your question, it's both.

Just don't drive into MM with your after market exhaust. You don't have to go to MM to service your car unless it's a big issue that your normal workshop cannot handle. Your free servicing coupons are good at Mazda authorised workshops at Shell petrol stations and they don't care what aftermarket goodies you have. If you really have to bring your car into MM for any work/warranty claim, you can always replace your stock exhaust.

After mkt exhaust

Hi all

My RX8 is fitted with aftermkt exhaust & has been serviced by MM for 5-6 times already & they don't give me any problems. I guess if the job is done by proper workshop is shouldn't have any effect on the warranty.

Not unless they're out to find trouble with you, else they're alright.

Cheers

Hi there

Mine's a HKS Legamax, just love the sound especially when you pull all the way to 8-9krpm. Sometimes as u upshift its like a gurgle when you take your foot off the accelerator.

Called Ryan about the Fujitsubo exhaust but he said he hasn't got a reply from Fujitsubo and would call me back at the end of the week. If I don't hear from him by next week, I'll call him and add some heat because if he doesn't get his act together soon, we'll just go to ST Power.
