Price: ~$660 I also bought over a Lanzar 600watt amp and a Bazooka bass tube from another friend at got it installed for another ~$770. Total damage $1430. You can get much cheaper ICE setups, but somehow when it comes to spending on your 8, you just can't help splurging... I'm sure you know the feeling.
there are many more performance parts that i'm after, but thats only after a while lah...... or else credit card bills sky high!!!!!! :D :D
anyway back to ICE, i oredi have a alpine amp (not installed yet) which i dun intend to change. planning for component speakers, bass, either tube or those customised boxy kinds..... and maybe change the stock speakers???
not really going for high end quality but juz clear and crisp sound and enuff oomph!!....

Coupe07, I need my boot space, so I opted for the base tube. If you are willing to give up the boot, there is a very good offer for the blaupunkt competition set. Heavily discounted from $2++k down to $1.3K. I would have gotten that for sure if I could spare the space for the 12" sub+box. Changing the stock speakers is a definite must! Ask Genesis... If you like clear crisp sound, can try Rainbow speakers.
Naughty Boy, interested in zavhan's center console gauge cowling? I'm interested in that leh, but seems like need to modify the bigger defi gauges to change the lighting to red to match the 8's gauge lighting.

Buy used car is the same. Get an expert to go down and take a look. Since most 8 are nery new, shldn't have much prob. Impt thing is manual or auto. For me manual lar. U wanna see bodylit and salivate, go down Book Konikuniya and buy HyperRev magazine of RX8. see until u steam. If u thick skin a bit, oso can go down Garage R and asked to see the mag lar. Lance very patient and maybe u can see June and book a new one oso hahahaha. Must ask commission from them.

Hopefully the price has not changed after CNY. If the guy working there lost money during CNY thats goin to be bad cause we will be picking up the tab. Haha..
Getting it real soon but have to ask Naughtyboy if interested to get then can get together and also his bargaining skills not too bad but still not as good as WOOT.
Those who are interested, PM me thanks.

Hi naughty boy,
Intend to get the gauges from st powered,

I think they do have cup holder for the gauges..

I have both the subaru wants and the rx8, bought it at taiwan
Bro do u have the exact engine specs of the base auto wants?
Hi Motown,
Previously i have consider cars like dc5,wrx
But guess my heart will still follow the rx8.....
Now is only manual or auto...
But i will make up my mind by this week end to either get the auto or manual wants!

You don't have to mod the defi gauges. The old black face was white lettering; the new is orange like our RXs'. Not sure if it's an exact match though. Wonder if anyone here knows?

Neon thanks for your welcome
Hi naughty boy,
Yes the earlier BF defi is the white wans,
There 1 guy drving sti do conversion from white to amber,
BUt base on his price from $60-$80 per gauge, Might as well sell off the white wans and get the new amber wants since its cheap now....
Somemore defi gauges have the best resale now, u might not lose much or may break even too...

Our stock speakers are a big let down, but then all factory fitted speakers are....

sqren, $400 is for the front only, right? Anyway, I don't have space for the rear coz of my base tube. Gather a few interested parties and get a group discount!
naughty boy, how much is the center console gauge cowling like han's? If you intend to get it, let me know leh... maybe can get together. I dun really like individual gauge holders or those that require mounting on top of the center console or beside the main instrument cluster. I also can't mount gauges on the A pillar coz of the airbags. So you're saying the new BIG defi gauges are black face with orange/amber scales, right? I hope you didn't mean orange face with white scales... ha ha... JK
coupe07, the Bazooka tube sub I bought is a dual 8-inch tube. Not too bad, but now I need to tune it coz it rumbles too much and rear passengers get a free massage. I guess it's possible to mount subs in the position of the rear speakers if you really want it in the cabin. If boot space is important to you too, my installer said he could custom build the subs into the well in the boot so it's flush with the rest of the boot floor. But personally, I would rather give up the deeper part of the boot in place of the well. That's why I opted for the tube.
