I started a new thread because there are IMPORTANT updates to this event & I hope other bros will read it again and really consider joining us!! DON'T MISS THIS!!!

MAIN ATTRACTION: ALL OF US WILL HAVE A PRO SITTING IN OUR CAR TO TEACH US HOW TO BETTER HANDLE OUR CAR ON TRACK!!!! You can ask all the questions u want... AND IF U R LUCKY, U GET ONE OF TOP FEW MALAYSIA PRO DRIVERS!!!

INTRODUCTION
This will be one EXCITING event with PACKED programs between SG and Malaysia in Sepang!!! Read on....

This is the first Rotory Engine(RE) group meet up between SG and Malaysia. There will be RE coming from Penang as well...

ATTRACTION 1
We have good news and some updates to the event. The recent update is that there will be 3 other smaller club joining us, Porsche, Volvo and Puegeot. We will be divided into 4 groups. RE should be Group 1 and I believe we are the biggest group.

The good news is that we have 40 instructors that day, and a few of them are Malaysia Top racers including Mahatir Ex-PM's son. Each will follow us on track, during the driving course.

We are promised there will be no congestion and the track is limited to 40 cars at one go. So it will not be crowded. The event priority is SAFETY! So it is well organised and planned to make sure All briefing, orientation, regulations etc etc are enforced to KEEP the EVent SAFE.

Comments from Event Director: "The Group 1 drivers will have to be there by 8:30 am for the drivers briefing. Registration opens at 8am so I would suggest you get to the track by then so you can register, put the numbers on your cars and be ready for the drivers briefing. The track opens at 9am so I want to be sure that we ready to go by then. The first two laps in the morning session will be a track drive around. This will be a pace lap being led by instructor cars and there will be no overtaking. At the end of the second lap you will come back into the pits and each car will be joined by an instructor who will be assigned to you for the rest of the day. The instructors will ride with you in your sessions, teach you the racing line, and gradually build your speed and comfort on the track throughout the day."


ATTRACTION 2
One of the STAR event will be the Proton Savvy Test Drive!!!
All of us will get to drive this track protons and i am assured that WE CAN TRASH it!
But please be careful and still follow all the rules and regulations... If you SMASH the car... U still hv to pay for it

ATTRACTION 3
We will also be invited to sit in the Lotus with a PRO driver who will 'Maxed' out the car on Track and let us feel what "REAL" track racing is all about :p

ATTRACTION 4
DKC JIDOUSHA Sponsorship. Read below for Details
DKC JIDOUSHA Mechanics will be convoying us up to KL and basically following us everywhere we go. They will be equipped with basic Tools and Parts.
They will be supporting us at the Track as well.
If you have any concerns while tracking, please pit in seek advice.
Do not hesitate to approach them for if you have any questions.

1:30 - 4:30 - continue to track(if its possible) or proceed for 100cc karting
5:00 - 6:00 Prepare to leave to check in to Hotel
6:00 - 7:00 Drive to Hotel and Check in.
7:00 - 8:00 Freshen up and Rest.
8:00 - 10:00 Dinner (KL RE CLUB meet us at Hotel, Convoy to Bangsar 4 dinner)
10:00 - 12:00(or till late) - Coffee and Drinks.

DAY2
10:00 - 12:30 - Breakfast, swim, shopping or continue to Sleep(TBC- to be confirmed).
12:30 - 1:00 - Prepare for check out.
1:00 - 6:00 - Lunch and Drive home

PAYMENT(in SGP):
1) Track cost - SGP$80(morning) + SGtrackies(track$140) or SGP($TBC)100cc kart racing (afternoon)
2) Accomodation - Meridian Hotel( Super Luxurious Hotel with Secured Parking) = $115 -$125 + (tax) TBC
NOTE: Those who like to split cost by sharing room(2 bed or King),pls let me know.
3) Miscellaneous - Toll, Dinner, Petrol etc = $80 - $150
4) Payment deadline & Date: TBC

PREPERATION & SUPPORT:
DKC JIDOUSHA Pte Ltd has offered to Sponsor the following services
1) Free Pre-Inspection and After-Track Inspection (see attachment)
2) Free Labour for Servicing (Oil, filter can be brought by you. Or Rotory Oil can be purchased at the Workshop. PLEASE try to Use Rotory Oil as we are going for Track!!)
3) DKC Mehcanics will be convoying us up with us. They will be equipped with Basic Tools and Parts to support us. They will be at the Track to support us if we have any concerns.
4) Others - remember to bring helmet.
5) BOOKING(1st April to 7th April) - Please put the date and time you want next to your names below. Do print and bring the attached Form for you inspection & Servicing.

You are right.... I just confirmed this information with the Event Director and SGtrackies has indeed book the afternoon session.

We can join them but it will cost us SGP$140 for 3 hours. We might be able to decide there and then.... and see if we can join them if the morning session is not enuf. But honestly, 1 and half hours of track time is just right. Trust me... Yr ride will not be able to go more than 3 to 4 laps if you push hard.... (unless u have modified yr car for Track). If you push hard, you will probably need to pit in for u and yr car to take a breather every 10mins. Of course, if you drive casually slowly crusing round the track.... u can go round and round and round until u run out of petrol.

Since this is our 1st or 2nd time, get familiar with the track, check out what are the limits of our car on track. For eg, when u push yr car, is your water temp too high? Oil Temp? Yr transmission temp ok?(for auto cars, if u intend to push hard, i suggest u install a sensor so u can read yr trans temp), need better suspensions?? etc etc...

The Event Director has suggested Karting and kindly offered to booked 100cc Karts, much faster karts, for the afternoon event for us. Its gonna be "Fair" racing cos all 100cc and equally modded :p

Can I ask you where did you hear this news? I'm a SGTrackie member too.... and I believe they are meeting this Sunday to collect payment and stuff.. I don't think they are affected. Their track time is still 1:30 to 4:30...

Hey bros,

I was asked if we could invite our friends who drive other cars....

This Event is mainly an RE event for SG REs to meet the Malaysia REs... get to know each other, find out more about their rides etc etc... However, if you have friends who is keen to track with us, we will not exclude them. This is a friendly event, and we all are a group of friendly pp who are car enthusiast...so your friends are more than welcome to join us for this trip.... but dun go and ask the whole bunch of them Unless they buy us that evening.... , jus kidding...
