I think the article was writen by an ill infom writer, not that Mazda are not bringing the 'turbo rx-8' but there is no such car.

Which forum/dealer is it? I'd like to dig for more info as I'm interested.

It doesn't really make sense for them to bring in the Euro emissions spec one if the JDM one passes LTS here. Besides the loss of ~20hp, the price I reckon would be higher than the PIs. How will they be able to sell any?

I'd rather get the JDM from PIs if Mazda SG bring in the 230hp one...

i think most likely Mazda SG is gonna bring in the lower power version.. kinda like the STi brought in is less power then the PI versions

should be confirmed, mid of this year but 230ps........... not the JDM spec...... price not fixed yet but they are taking orders......

Yap, the Mazda sale rep. called me couple of days ago, checking if I'm still interested in the 8 as I had checked with him sometime back while I was looking around for one.
They are indeed taking orders but there ain't much takers cause Mazda don't have a price fixed on the 8 yet, they didn't mentioned about the 230ps though.
