Very Nice!!! I need one of those strut bars. Sometimes I wish I'd gotten a Titanium one...but I do love my black one.

My first choice would be black. But I knew I don't have the time and energy to maintain the most demanding colour, thus settled for the second best choice:u

I've been pondering the Mazdaspeed brace. How does it feel...or more importantly, have you driven without it and can give a comparison?

Hi Mockngbrd, maybe next time when we get together

AutoBahnRX8, sorry, couldn't give you a comparison note on the strut bar. I've not driven the car without it yet. Might do that after break-in the car. During the breakin period with slow driving don't think gonna feel much different.

Hi, Congratulations !

Beautiful !! your 8's pics.
The plant of your pic of first post gives Japanese (included me) "exotic" feelings.
I love it and your 8!

Thanks

Thanks Guys!
Still trying to get use to the car, and so far, love the steering feel, nicely weighted, feedback slightly below MX5 MkI, but the shifter, it's amazing, better than the 5!
Still being gentle to it, changing before 4k rpm. Even at that rpm, I'm already impress with its power. Also realize I've been in very good mood since I have it!

Yo thanks p7&8! M looking forward for the next meet too.

By the way some question for the folks out there if anyone could help.

Radio: I think dru8999 did mention before too, the reception is horrible! How can one improve the reception for the radio? Or is this only an isolated cases.

CD Changer: Since the sound system is BOSE, am I right to say that the in-dash 6 CDs Changer would be BOSE as well?

Thanks for any feedback.

Cheers

Radio - I seem to have problems only with class95. The rest are ok.

Yes, it should be a Bose cd changer. My Japanese owner's manual came with a separate set of instructions from Bose on how to install the cd changer!

So hows the drive so far?

My radio sux! Well, actually depends on where u are. In the East 98.7 still ok - rest dogshit. In town, most are ok! In the West, only 93.3 not too bad - rest dogshit again!

Dats wad i/m getting! anyone else concur??

I think the solution is either to get a seperate head unit like blaupunkt with RDS or do a sharky type anthenna like the new 5..

Else, nothin else can be done. MHO only..... Dont think those radio enhancers and in-dash anthennas would do much!

Thanks Fab! Well the DRIVE has been very fine indeed. As I have mentioned, love the steering feel. The gear box, such a delight to shift through the notchy gears, click, click... And the sound, the whining of the rotary is so intoxicating! Still on the stage of getting familiar with the car.
Love to show off the car to people who are not car enthusiast, they would be so entice with the doors, how a 1.3 would be churning out 250bh, and how accommodating those 2 seaters in the back are when they don't seems like it at all. So to sum it up, GREAT!

Neon, as for the radio, at least you know which station you're listening to. My pre-set station are all in numbers that are of different to the station numbers?? And I hardly stay on a station cause I changes to what ever station that has a better signal all the time. I suppose to have the in-dash CD, but some parts are still missing, can't wait for the CD to be up and functioning.

Well, since dru8999 also posted a dedicated thread on the radio reception, we shall see if there's a way to fix this problem.

cheers

How reliable is this info, where u heard it from? 230ps? most of the 8 so far are de-tune for emission regulations, but, if the jdm do pass the lta here, see no reason why they need to detune the 8 inorder to bring them in??

Sounds like the RHD British version 228HP = 230 PS Euro 4 emission?

Hi all!

Remember when ST reported on the SG launch of the Mazda 2 & 3? Well the article stated that Mazda SG is bringing in the 8 mid of this year... TURBO version!?!

Was wondering if anyone can confirm...
