Any suggestions on road trips up north?

just a day trip and u will tire out.

 

The trip up to Penang is very pleasant esp the section after Ipoh. You will feel like you are driving thru the mountains of Europe. Very pretty country side.. You should stopover in Ipoh or Penang or both for the fantastic local food but you FC will decrease on the way back.

The other drive I like is up the coastal road from Mersing up to Kuantan. At some stretches you will test the 50/50 balance of the car at its limit out if you want to. Personally I feel that its this sort of roads that brings the best out of the 8. It ain't the fastest car (for straight aways) nor the strongest (on hill climbs) but its engineering excellences really shows at these twisty, windy roads.

Totally agree with u. about 2 year back drive up once with my 1.3 323, i like the penang bridge and miss the food.
