Hi Bros out there,

I realise that my auto RX8 has a speed cut at abt 187km/h.
Any way to remove that??
With Apexi RSM or E-manage can??

I think HKS Speed Limiter can solve your problems. Check it out with GR

 

If your's a manual, then HKS SLD will be your choice. But HKS SLD wont work on auto cause the immobilises will prevent you car from cranking. This test has been done on my friend's car for almost half day and have to give up. RSM havent been developed for our car. And E-Manage cant eliminate speed cut cos it's not part of its feature. Unless you're talking about E-Manage Ultimate, HKS F-con Vpro....

 

e-manage ultimate oso cannot do speed cut. F-Con V pro not out for our car yet.......

theres no way to remove the spped cut unless u bring ur original ECu to go retune......

Huh? den who is right? I also looking at removing the speed cut, if not with the car's power, cannot go above 180kmh damn sian on a NS highway...

do all Asian-market RX8's have speed limiters? US Spec cars do not..

 

here in spore, our parallel importers brins in the jdm specs(auto/manual) wif the speed cut still 'intact'.whereas the xported(US/Euro) models wil nt hv it.

 

can? mr amemiya himself tell me no way, man... face to face somemore....... GReddy japan is intending to let mr amemiya market the e-manage ultimate for our rx8....

 

HEHEH, maybe RX8 have a hard-to-crack ECU! But it will be able sometime in the future. If not, Greddy has created yet another piece of redundant piggyback ECU again. You should have told me that going to see Mr.Amemiya. Wanted to buy some stuff from him.

I suggest to tune your ECU, i guess its more efficent and it remap the whole setting of your ecu, hence the temp of the eng, speed cut, ignition, airflow...etc...

 

How do we retune the engine bro?? Can it be done at Imperial??
