The barrier has been HIT again! I saw it when i opened my windows this morning. It was quite a big impact cos the supports have been uprooted! Will try to take pics! It has only been 3 days since it was last replaced!

maybe go ask around to see if got anyone selling the pedal or electric one then can go to OG in chinatown and do rounding.
must check where got sell mods if not very hard to keep up with the rest, maybe go yap B to change tires first. :D

8th Dec. The destruction continues today with 2 accidents in the rainy afternoon. One is a yellow top taxi which hit the already damaged barrier before spinning and faced the opposite direction. Less than an hour later, a blue RAV 4 came and hit the barrier on the LHS of the bend. I managed to snap a couple of pics of the RAV 4 being towed when i came home around 1730 hrs. Will post just one pic cos the other pic showed the number plate clearly and I am too lazy to edit that out.

The number reads as " ba qi ba qi " in mandarin. Or for the sake of Genesis, try looking at " *&*&" or yr keyboard.

Bizzare! It always seems to be taxis. I don't think the drivers really check their tire wear, spinning around like that. We already know some of them drive like Schumacher wanna-be's, but Dru, next one you see, take an up close macro shot of the tires, let's check what kinda tread they're running on.

You may be right Woot, but even the newer taxis put on some incredible km's in a relatively short time. Btw, what's the reference to turbo taxi?

Basically, the Toyota Crown taxis are just badly designed. The tires on them are too damn thin for the size of the body. I guess they are designed with such thin tires for lower rolling resistance and hence better mileage/fuel consumption but it's ridiculous. Next time, try to see how thin the tires are w.r.t. the size of the car.

Reminds me of an idiot I saw today driving a Galant at 110+km/h on the CTE this morning with one of those small spare tires. I remember my Stealth had one of those and they are only rated for 50mph. Would have been ugly if the spare tire ripped at high speed...
