floor mats

Exciting question here ...but anybody found a good solution to either protecting or replacing the stock floor mats? Have been looking around a bit, but can only find the large rubber/plastic type (can cut 'em I guess) however their really fugly. Would prefer something in black with a similar material to the stocks if I replace them. Don't want to even think of the cost of ordering a second pair from MM

The main problem is the driver's side footwell being of irregular shape and is pretty narrow - you will need to cut the aftermarket mats to fit. Probably can't do it with the carpet-type of mat. Are your original ones wearing out already?

Yeah...both the clutch and accelerator sides of the drivers mat already starting to wear after a couple of months. No surprise really, as you said it's narrow, but it's time to look at some other options if I want to keep it looking good. I really like the RX-8 logo in the mat with the silver ring hole, just want to protect the look

I got the allweather mats from Mazda. They fit great, and seem to hold a lot of water.......some members on here got them cheap on E-bay .

They are about $55 US otherwise

Another suggestion is to get the 3M customised mat. The shape of our car is funny and it is better to get custom mats imo.

Gen,

Jackspeed customise car mat, and I think they already have the mold for rx8. If they do have it, it will probably cost u around $60-$70. Hope it helps, Please keep us posted if u manage to get from them and also let us noe the quality :p

I scotch guarded mine! Including my interior carpet and seats. Just an option to consider!
